I'm Azad. I spent the last decade building and operating a Shopify business from the ground up — first running e-commerce and ops, then taking over strategy and the P&L.

That meant doing the unglamorous work: integrating POS with Shopify so we'd stop overselling, building cohort models in Excel to figure out what we could actually afford to spend on acquisition, rebuilding the theme three times to get conversion right, and managing a 20-person team through the messiness of fast growth.

Now I do that work alongside DTC founders who want someone who's been in the seat — not a generalist who's read about it.

What size brand do you typically work with?+
DTC brands doing $500K to $20M on Shopify or Shopify Plus. The sweet spot is founder-led brands at $1–10M who've outgrown DIY but aren't ready to hire a full-time growth or e-commerce lead.
How are you different from an agency?+
Agencies bill hours and hand work down to junior staff. I'm the operator on the file — every week, every call. I've also actually owned a P&L on Shopify, which most agency consultants haven't.
Do you write code or build themes?+
Yes — I've rebuilt themes three times across my own business and have deep Liquid, Shopify CLI, and section-based theme architecture experience. For larger custom builds I bring in a trusted dev partner and lead the spec.
What does an engagement actually look like?+
Most engagements start with an Operator Audit so we both know what we're working with. From there it's either a 90-day Growth Sprint focused on a single KPI, or a longer Fractional Lead role. No long contracts — we re-up by quarter.
Do you take equity instead of fees?+
Selectively. For brands I'm genuinely excited about, I'll consider a hybrid of reduced cash plus performance equity. Let's talk about it on a call.
How fast can we start?+
Audits typically start within 2 weeks of a signed agreement. Sprints and Fractional engagements depend on current capacity — I cap myself at 3 active clients at a time so the work stays senior. Currently accepting 2 new engagements for Q3.
